Make MoneyDrop App Review

Drop App Review

This Drop app review will explain what Drop is, how you can earn rewards from it, and how to maximize your earnings. The Drop app is a fairly new and popular rewards program. When you make everyday purchases, you can earn money and other rewards. However, is it really worth your time? What are the pros and cons of Drop? This Drop app review will provide you with all the information you need. Read on to learn more about the Drop app.

You are reminded of why you enjoy shopping online every time you visit the mall. There is nothing more frustrating than sitting in traffic, looking for a parking space, and waiting in long lines. It is also not a good experience when there are large crowds present.

The opposite is true when it comes to online shopping. In addition, shopping online allows you to compare prices from different shops in order to find the most competitive price. There is no need to feel rushed or restricted when searching for additional discounts, promo codes, or coupons.

The availability of some apps has also made it simpler to earn even more from your online purchases. Through them, you are able to earn extra cashback on your purchases and redeem those rewards for money or gift cards.

It can be confusing to choose the right app among so many on the market. You can read our Drop review to find out if you should add this cash-back app to your arsenal or if you should avoid it.

Drop App: What Does It Do?

Drop is a mobile app that provides rewards for shopping and purchasing through the app. On both iPhone and Android devices, it works in the same manner as other cash-back sites and apps. In addition, you can add a credit card to your Drop profile so that you will receive a credit when you shop online or in-store.

Pros:

  • Easily accessible and free
  • Automated rewards
  • The system accepts both credit and debit cards
  • Get cash back on your existing purchases
  • There are a variety of popular retailers, including Lyft, Safeway, and Macy’s, that you can choose from
  • Gift cards can be redeemed for points
  • Both iOS and Android devices are supported
  • An extension is included with the software

Cons:

  • Gift cards are the only form of payment (cash is not accepted)
  • A limited amount of cash back is available
  • Payment by credit card is required
  • Customer service reviews that are negative
  • To get the browser extension, you must submit your email address through the app

Does the Drop App work?

Despite being legit, The Drop app has a Trustpilot score of 2.5 out of 5. Moreover, the Better Business Bureau has given the company an F rating based on three reviews.

In the last 12 months, there have been 15 complaints. Drop’s top competitor, Rakuten, has a Trustpilot rating of 4.6, with over 12,000 reviews.

There are several complaints regarding the redemption of rewards and the customer service department. Proceed with caution if you decide to use this application.

Drop: How Does It Work?

As with other cash-back sites, the Drop app works similarly. By opening the app, scrolling down for a retailer, clicking on the retailer’s link, and buying something. For shopping on a particular site or with a particular retailer, Drop shows how many points you can earn.

It’s free to download

After downloading the app, you’ll need to sign up for a free account. A Facebook account or an email address can be used to register.

Earn points by selecting five merchants

When you sign up for Drop, you will be asked to identify the retailers you most frequently shop at. A few of the stores on my list were Safeway, Urban Outfitters, Lyft, Walgreens, and Whole Foods. By creating an account, you will have access to a wider list of Drop retailers, including:

  • Nike
  • Postmates
  • Warby Parker
  • ASOS
  • GrubHub
  • Uber
  • BarkBox
  • Starbucks
  • Lululemon

Create a link between credit card accounts

The next step is to link your credit card to one of Drop’s most popular banks. For verification, you will need to log into your credit card account and receive a special verification code. The debit card can be linked instead of a credit card if you do not have a credit card.

Rewards can be redeemed

In order to redeem your rewards, you must have a sufficient number of points. A list of retailers is displayed when you log into the Drop app. When you spend a dollar at Gap, you get 30 points, while if you spend a dollar at Instacart, you get 5 points.

Money cannot be refunded as cash or deposited directly into a bank account at the moment.

With referral codes, you can earn extra points

Upon referring someone who downloads the Drop app, you will receive an additional $5. Additionally, your friend will receive an additional $5 in their account. When they open their account, remind them to enter your special code.

You do not need to make any purchases in order to earn extra rewards. It is possible to share this code on social media sites or by email. If more than ten people attempt to use the referral code, they will not be able to do so.

You will receive $5 when your friend creates an account, confirms their email address, and links their credit card.

FAQs about Drop Apps

It is fairly straightforward to use Drop, but there are still some things you should be aware of before signing up.

While using Drop, are you still able to earn credit card rewards?

There is no clear indication that Drop will affect your ability to earn credit card rewards, but it does not appear that it will. It may be necessary for you to contact your personal credit card issuer for more information.

What is the source of revenue for Drop?

When you purchase something through Drop’s app, the company receives a commission. Drop receives a percentage of what you spend from the retailer, which is then passed on to you. The method of making money is similar to that which is employed by other cash-back apps and websites.

Is there an expiration date for Drop points?

It is possible to earn and redeem Drop points at any time since they do not expire.

Can you tell me how long it takes for rewards to be received?

Your point earnings depend on the frequency with which you use the Drop app and your shopping history. Approximately two months after registering with Drop, the average user redeems their first reward.

Is my personal information used by Drop?

Your personal information may be used by Drop for the purpose of market research or to recommend products and services to you. According to the company, your information is used to provide more personalized recommendations and to verify transactions. It is possible that Drop will share user data, but these data will be anonymous and will not be associated with any individual.

How safe is the Drop app?

You won’t have to worry about hackers stealing your credit card information with the Drop app because it uses the same encryption your bank uses. If you change your password or account settings, Drop will send you a text verifying the changes. You can enable two-step verification and add your phone number.

Drop is suitable for whom?

By not using Drop or another cash-back service, you’re probably missing out on rewards if you do a lot of online shopping. If you were already planning to make a purchase, you can use this app to get money back.

Drop might, however, encourage you to spend more than you can afford if you shop too much or already spend too much money.

Alternatives to Drop

There are a number of cash-back apps on the market, including Drop. Before downloading Drop for your phone, you should research alternatives.

Rakuten

Rakuten is the leading cash-back app for shopping. Rakuten is available on both mobile devices and desktop computers. When you install the browser extension, Rakuten will notify you when you are on a website that offers cashback.

Amazon, Target, and Macy’s are among the thousands of retailers that Rakuten pays out in cash every quarter. Get rewards when you shop in-store when you link your credit card to Rakuten.

You can also search for hotel and vacation rentals, rental cars, flights, and vacation packages on Rakuten’s travel deals section. You can also earn cashback on everything you buy on the Rakuten travel page.

Ibotta

Ibotta primarily offers cash back at grocery stores, but it also supports iTunes, eBay, and Best Buy. In addition to the cash-back offers, consumers can check Ibotta before going shopping to find out if there are any extra coupons available.

Ibotta offers a number of ways to earn cashback. If you want to receive your rewards automatically after your purchase, you can scan your receipt or tie your loyalty card to the store. Food, household goods, and toiletries are some of the best things you can buy with Ibotta.

Shopkick

Shopkick’s app allows you to earn points for scanning products, buying certain items, and scanning your receipt once you have checked out. Even entering a store can earn you Shopkick points.

Shopkick does not compete directly with Drop or offer an alternative. There is no problem using Shopkick in conjunction with Drop or another cash-back application. One of the most common problems you may encounter is the inability to link your credit card to all of the apps.

Shopkick points can be redeemed for gift cards to retailers such as Starbucks, Target, and Walmart. Inactivity for six months will result in the loss of Shopkick points.

Honey

Honey offers cash-back and promo codes along with cash-back. Alternatively, you can use Honey directly through the Honey website by installing it as a browser extension. Downloading the app isn’t available.

Cash-back options are available even when promo codes are expired or ineligible.

As an additional feature, Honey offers a Droplist feature which functions in a similar manner to a shopping wish list. This wish list allows you to add specific items to it and Honey will notify you when the price drops. In order to ensure that you are always paying as little as possible, it is useful to have this information on hand.

In the Honey main page, you will find deals and sales from a number of stores and brands, including Adidas, Target, and Nordstrom Rack.

Summary of the Drop App Review

Drop is a cash-back app that isn’t as intuitive as other cash-back apps and portals, but with so many other options out there, there isn’t really a good reason to download Drop. This adds an extra step to the shopping experience that is cumbersome for the modern shopper. There are also fewer customer reviews for Drop compared to its competitors such as Rakuten and Honey, which have higher ratings.

In order to earn cashback as you shop, you should consider Rakuten or even Dosh if you want to earn cashback while you shop. The rewards offered by both of these services are much better and easier to redeem than those offered by Drop.
