It’s a natural side hustle to take online surveys if you’re looking for a low-stress way to make money.
It is important to find survey sites that are worth your time and effort. Among the options available, LifePoints, formerly MySurvey, may be of interest to you.
As a member of LifePoints, you can earn points for taking surveys and completing simple tasks online. Those points can then be converted into gift cards for top retailers or redeemed for cash via PayPal. You are essentially paid to shop just for letting brands know how you feel about their products and services.
You may not become rich by taking surveys online, but you may be able to earn some extra income with a minimum amount of effort. Are you interested in learning more about LifePoints? In this LifePoints review, we provide you with all the information you need.
Each survey you complete earns you LifePoints. They can be exchanged for e-gift cards and PayPal cash, or they can be donated to a charity.
MySurvey and Lightspeed are actually merging to create this new platform. LifePoints has continued to live up to its reputation as one of the leading companies in the survey-taking industry before it merged with these two companies.
LifePoints rewards members for completing surveys. Cash or gift cards can be redeemed for the points. There is a minimum cash-out threshold of 550 points, or $5. When you sign up and complete your profile, you will receive 10 points.

LifePoints is a legit company that conducts online surveys. National Family Opinion (which eventually became MySurvey) was founded in 1946.
With more than five million members worldwide, LifePoints operates in 70 countries. Through surveys, members share their opinions about products with the company, which specializes in consumer research.
If you’re worried about being hacked, LifePoints isn’t a scam, and you don’t have to share your financial information. If you want to start taking surveys, you will have to provide some personal information, like your household income and marital status.
LifePoints allows you to earn points by participating in various tasks as a panelist. Taking surveys is the most common way to earn money, but you can also earn money by testing products, completing mini-polls, and participating in data collection activities.
In the LifePoints Rewards Center, you can redeem points for rewards as you accumulate them. Gift cards and cash can be redeemed with points.
The following are steps for getting started with LifePoints, earning points, and redeeming them.
LifePoints is easy to sign up for. Your application is completed by clicking the ‘Join Now’ button on the website.
In order to process your application, LifePoints will need your first and last name, email address, and physical address. The date of birth and gender of the applicant must also be provided.
Once you’ve accepted LifePoints’ terms and conditions, you’ll proceed to the next step. LifePoints will send you a confirmation email once you have done that. You’ll automatically earn 10 points after verifying your account.
The interesting part comes at this point. More questions will be asked by LifePoints, including:
- The size of the household
- The number of children you have at home
- Amount of income
To earn another 10 points, you take your first survey. You may find the questions a little odd. During my initial onboarding, I received the following questions:
- Is there a snake in your home that you keep as a pet?
- Are you a marathon runner? If so, when did you finish your last marathon?
- In the past 6 months, have you been ticketed for running a red light?
You will receive 10 points after taking your first survey.
In order to redeem your points, you will need to have earned at least a certain number of points before you will be able to redeem the points. Here, you will also be able to see if there are any survey opportunities available for you to take part in.
You can complete surveys on your dashboard by selecting which ones you want to take.
The points are awarded automatically after the task has been completed. The points earned by certain tasks are higher than those earned by others. If you decide not to smoke, for example, you could take a poll on whether you smoke or not, and earn one point each time you answer the question.
There are other surveys that may take a little longer to complete than others, and LifePoints continuously adds new surveys to your dashboard. We would recommend that if you do not have any surveys in your dashboard, you go to the LifePoints Community to see what opportunities are available to you.
In addition, you may find random and funny quizzes that earn little or no points, but still make you smile. For an example, you may stumble upon something as ridiculous as “What’s your favourite kind of potato?” or “Do you take morning showers or evening showers?”
After you’ve accumulated a certain number of points, you can exchange them for gift cards or PayPal cash.
Redeeming rewards is as easy as clicking the “Rewards” tab on your dashboard. The home page allows you to filter by the minimum number of points required or select a retailer from the list.
There are different redemption options depending on how many points you need. You’ll need 5,400 points for a $50 e-gift card to Best Buy, Target, or Lowe’s, for example. The requirements for a $5 Amazon card and a $5 PayPal cash payout are only 541 LifePoints and 600 LifePoints, respectively.
Comparatively to other survey sites, this offers pretty good gift card options. The following places offer gift cards that can be redeemed for points:
- The Google Play Store
- Bass Pro Shop
- Bath & Body Works
- CVS Pharmacy
PayPal also offers the option of donating points to charity. For a $5 PayPal cash reward, you will need to earn 600 points in order to redeem them.
A simple click of a button is all it takes to redeem your points. To spend your LifePoints, you choose which redemption option you want to use, add it to your cart, and proceed to the checkout process.
There are other legitimate survey websites you can use to earn extra cash besides LifePoints. Check out these other survey sites if you’re looking for more:
- Swagbucks has a website that lets you earn points toward free gift cards by watching videos, taking surveys, searching the web, and shopping online. As long as you do all of those things regularly, you could earn more rewards than you would with LifePoints. New users can also earn a $10 welcome bonus on the site.
- Survey Junkie rewards you with points that can be converted into gift cards or cash. There is a redemption value of $10 for every 1,000 points earned.
- InboxDollars allows you to earn money for playing games, watching videos, and taking surveys. Depending on how much time you spend on the site, you could earn anywhere from a couple of pennies to a few dollars for each task.
Those who use LifePoints in their spare time can earn free gift cards or cash as a result of earning the points. In order to accumulate points, you can do one or two surveys a day or more, if they’re available.
In some online forums, we have come across some comments from LifePoints panelists who have reported problems with the website glitching out at the wrong time while taking surveys, causing them to lose all the progress they have made.
There are almost 12,000 Trustpilot reviews of LifePoints on the site, and over half of these have a positive rating, with 4.6 out of 5 stars. Despite the site’s ease of use and the ability to earn money by taking surveys, most users seem to be extremely satisfied with the site’s ease of use.
